About Us

Above is a zombified rendition of me and my dog Luna. We walk in all kinds of weather. Sometimes I wear a tan and black shemagh to protect from the Texas wind; my wife thinks I look like a terrorist when I wear it. My dog, being a giant food whore, has to be bribed daily to get her harness on. We lovingly refer to her as a food terrorist.

Eventually the jokes evolved into an awesome Iraqi metal band name Luna Bin Doggin and the Tali-Dan

What I Do

I am a software development manager. Creating software is my job and my first engineering passion. Over the last few years I have ventured into 3D Printing, Ham Radio, and building AR-15 pistols. I am not an expert in any of these areas. Just a guy who likes to build things.

Simple Practical Emergency Preparedness is something I like to research. I find preparedness to be challenging because there are very few right answers; everything is situational. My research has been captured in articles on this site.

The site is powered by Python3 Flask on Ubuntu. Creating the site allowed me to test my python3 skills and have some fun with the language. I made this for me, my family, and friends. If you like it, great! If you don't, I don't care.
